THIS SOUNDS GREAT, BUT HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
BSR is the alternative to those all-inclusive vacations to Mexico with screaming babies and old ladies in bikinis. The Black Sea run is NOT a package holiday, so it’s impossible to give a total budget.
Here is a list to get an idea of how much it could cost you.
Entry fee – (Per Car / Team)
€250 – Through Feb 29th
€350 – March 1st – June 30th
€450 – July 1st – July 15th
July 16th+ (Pending Availability, Please contact us)
This is what your entry fee gets you:
- - Entrance into the one and only Black Sea Run
- - Your own team page on our website with a blog and photo gallery
- - Start and finish line events and parties
- - Official Checkpoint parties along the route
- - BSR rally stickers for your car
- - Official Black Sea Run gear
- - Our wealth of information on border crossing and other important information
- - Visa assistance
- - Our staff to assist with all questions and issues that arise pre-event
- - An adventure of a lifetime, something you will tell your grandkids about and something that’s hard to put a price tag on!
Petrol
€?
It all depends on the price of oil, the car you choose and how many times you get lost and spend hours driving in circles.
Food and Accommodation
This depends on you and your taste, which will mean that budgets will vary. Some people camp and eat road kill, which would be the cheapest way to go. Others might want to stay in nice hotels with hot tubs and wet bars. For teams wanting to budget for a cheap, but safe, trip, hotels/hostels can generally be found for €12 a night and meals for €2 a day.
Vehicle
The Black Sea Run was inspired by the first Fiat 126 Black Sea race in €100 Fiat’s. But this really depends on how much you want to spend. Fiat’s, Trabant’s and Lada’s can all be had for under €500. See the Cars page for more details.
Repairs
This all depends on how good you are with tools and how many spare parts you bring. But in a worse case scenerio, you will be travelling through some countries where it isn’t unusual to pull a car with a horse, so there’s always options!
Kazantip
Entrance into the wild music festival known as “KAZANTIP” will cost around 100€ per person for a month long ticket. See Kazantip’s official site for more info.
Visas
Depending on your nationality you shouldn’t have to pay anything, but here is some info if you are from the EU, USA or Canada:
- - All EU countries 90 days free at border or airport
- - Ukraine 90 days free at border
- - Moldova free at border
Charity
We would like every team to aim to raise €1000 for charity.
This is usually raised through fundraising or sponsorship, so there is no reason to pay this yourselves. Some people have better opportunities to raise money than others and teams will raise anywhere from €30 to €3000. The €1000 is simply a goal and is not mandatory, since we believe that this should be a fun trip and not a headache.
